D’Amato 1 Natalie D’Amato Professor Everett English 101 1 May 2018 Personal Writing Style Analysis Contrasting the types of my writing shows that my writing style does change much along witht the topic. However , the audience determines the level of appropriateness and amount of effort I put into it. There are many similarities and differences between my writing on social media, writing in academic contexts, and the writing for my own personal pleasure, but all pieces of my writing have one thing in common - they are effective at getting the point across. Writing on social media allows me to focus on smaller topics and express what I want to say about them in a more condensed configuration. It is an chance to write more freely, more informally, without having to focus on pleasing a specific audience. My eccentricity shows the most in my social media writing, because I personally know my audience, so therefore I feel more comfortable. I keep a casual but professional tone, allowing me to present my best self to my followers. Social media is a place for me to show my successes and happiest moments to my friends. For example, a picture I posted of me and my teammates after we won was captioned, “beyond proud of this girls.” My posts must be concise,
