Let’s get ready for Discussion Based Assessments: 25 points towards EXAM Guess what? There is no need to fear…it’s all about being prepared. For a DBA, you will need to schedule a phone call with your instructor to review your work in the completed module. You should be prepared to discuss the content you've learned and the assignments you've completed. This is also a good time for you to ask me any questions you might have about the course. Please arrange a time for the call that will allow you to discuss the topics presented without interruptions. So, here is what you need to do: 1. Take notes …each Module is laid out for you with the topics to be discussed on the DBAs. If you see a topic and you know you cannot answer a question. That means you need to go back into the lesson and take notes! 2. Review the notes you have taken before you schedule your DBA with me. 3. After the DBA, freshen up on topics you may have missed so you are ready for the Module exam. 4. Keep notes in a binder so you have them for your final exam. If you have any questions, call me! I am here to help you learn. Ponder on this: What similarities and differences do I see in each lesson compared to others and the things I know in English? What can you do to improve for the next DBA? How are you linking the knowledge from one module to the next? How are you using what you are leaning in your daily life? How are you using these skills in other classes? How will this help you to be college or career ready? You will receive a grade based on the following: (5 pts for each item= 25 pts total) 1. How well you know the information that was presented in the module 2. How well you communicate your thoughts and ideas and APPLY the knowledge in sentences PLEASE NOTE: Guardians are not required to be present during a DBA, but may complete the monthly contact after completion of the DBA.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
