Ways to move someone from the “unwilling” chair to the “willing” chair: - The strength of an individuals values (what they care about most) and beliefs may be used to move an individual - The weaknesses of an individuals character may serve to make him or her cooperate. - Get the interviewee “tuned into” the feeling channel. - Purposefully establish rapport and trust - Persuading by the use of story

The interviewing template: - Calibrate: Knowing when the interviewee is truthful and when he or she is deceptive to the point of articulation. Calibration involves the interviewer acutely observing the conduct, nonverbal of the interviewee when he or she is known to be true.
