Week 1 Shells discussion Linux shells are used to enter commands to perform functions in your Linux distribution. Describe the shells which are available. Which one would be your preference? Why? According to Tecmint.com the five most frequently used shells in Linux are Bash (Born again shell), Tcsh/Cch shell, Ksh shell (or Korn shell), Zsh shell, and Fish (Friendly interactive shell) (Kili, 2016). The Bash Shell is a common shell that is often found standard on many Linux systems. It has what you would expect from a shell as far as functionality to include unlimited command size history and Integer arithmetic in any base from two to sixty-four. Tcsh/Cch shell operates very similar to all command line shells however recognizes commands similar to the C language. My personal experience with code input originated with C++. Due to this personal comfort, I would prefer at this point to use Tcsh/Cch shell as I believe my learning curve would be less than the other shells. Ksh shell operates similarly
