Inside-out & Habit #1 – Be Proactive The term proactive means more than you may realize. Being proactive means taking control of your life, you’re creating or controlling how something happen rather than reacting to them. Our life is designed by our own choices, it gives us an opportunity to do things differently to produce positive results. Highly proactive people recognize their responsibility, they have the ability to choose their response. According to Steve Covey, a lack of proactivity can often showed to a weakness in one of these four human endowments: self-awareness, conscience, creative imagination, or independent will. It can be said that, most of the time we’re always reacting to events. It’s our choice to decide if we want to be a reactive or proactive person. Reactive people running their lives based on unchanging plans, they go with the flow. Proactive people, on the other hand, they create their own opportunities and direct the flow.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
