Sepulveda 1 Jessica Sepulveda Professor Bishop English Comp II H.W #1 May 23rd, 2018 James Joyce “Eveline” James Joyce narrates the story of Eveline, a young woman from Dublin. Eveline multitasked between her job as a shop worker amongst maintaining her household as a dutiful daughter. A sailor by the name of Frank begins a courtship with Eveline. Frank proposed a marriage offer and promised her a house in Buenos Aires. Eveline accepted Frank’s offer and agreed to migrate with her lover, leaving behind her father. Eveline’s mother passed, she promised her mother to support and sustain their household as long as she possibly could. Her father voiced his disapproval of Frank and amongst her departure to embark on a new life she had an epiphany. Eveline remembered the commitment that she promised to her departed mother, making it hard for her to disconnect ties with her family in order to pursue love.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
