Field observation reflection.docx - My field observation...

My field observation took place at a Mosque in Orlando, Florida. The Mosque was full of small classrooms to give a school- like and learning atmosphere. It looked very similar to my Mosques because we have classrooms for religious classes. My first impression of the classroom was not good. I saw that there were no chairs or desks for the students but upon later observation I noticed that there were too many students to keep enough chairs for all of them. The students were young, ranging from elementary to middle school. I found the lack of desks and chair was an advantage for the setting since the teachers had students moving around and mingling with one another. The teachers received special training through the “step” program in London therefore, they knew how to handle student in schools with little resource. The student to teacher ratio was about 12:1 but the activities required more than one teacher per classroom. I observed that the teachers knew how to handle the students really well.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
