Dorales Burns English 101 Professor: Kristina Martin 9 May 2018 In the Plug-in Drug, Marie Winn is describing not only the predicted outcomes but actual outcomes associated with television and there affect on families. She states, "Who could have guessed that twenty or so years later Mom would be watching a drama in the kitchen, the kids would be looking at cartoons in their room, while Dad would be taking in the ball game in the living room?"( Winn Marie 1977 revised 2002 pg.1).Winn also states, "The splintering of the multiple-set family was something the early writers did not foresee,"(Winn Marie 1977 revised 2002 pg.1). I agree with Winn's statement that television is has affected families, some predicted, some not. Winn's point is valid because, there are many televisions shows that could teach children and adults educational and entertainment related subjects. However, television does have it's bad influences. Some shows are affecting us in such negativity and have people
