An example of cognitive dissonance is when you're out at a bar and your friend wants you to drink, you don’t normally drink alcohol hutyou do anyways because your friend was pressuring you. When you wake up the next morningyou really regret drinking and you spend the day feeling had about your decisions fiorn the night hefore because you already had negative values and thoughts about drinking hutyou chose to drink anyways. Cognitive Dissonance sets in when you go a gainer your already predetermined values and beliefs. It leavesyoafeeling confidsed and angry atyonr own choices becauseyoa lead already made agreements in your head against particular actions thatyoa are now taking a part in.
