1 Ankit Ranjan Lehua Mcallister Final Paper Discrimination in racism and social class has always been a part of American history. Although we are past the Jim Crow era, it is apparent that racism continues to exist in our society. Additionally, a gap between the social classes subsists, causing an enormous amount of discrimination. The educational system and the criminal justice system are two institutions that represent discrimination between the social classes. Even though people may argue that racism within the social classes does not correlate to these two institutions, comparing urban schools to suburban schools illustrates this correlation vividly. The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
