Therefore, the lawyers fought to show that sexual harassment needed to be understood differently and that there doesn’t need to be an adverse effect. 2. What happened in the above-mentioned case? This case was the first sexual harassment lawsuit to concern an educational setting rather than workplace. A female student at Yale alleged one of her professors threatened to lower her grade on her term paper unless she slept with him, but she didn’t; others came forward with similar stories.
