There are 7 types of Electromagnetic Radiation. They are Radio waves, Microwaves, Infrared rays, Visible light, Ultraviolet rays, X-rays and Gamma Rays. Given the statements below, state the type of electromagnetic radiation being described. 1. These waves are the only electromagnetic waves we can see. We see these waves as the colors of the rainbow. Each color has a different wavelength. Red has the longest wavelength and violet has the shortest wavelength. These waves combine to make white light. These waves are essential for photosynthesis. Who Am I? 2. These rays have the smallest wavelength and the most energy of the waves in the electromagnetic spectrum. These waves are generated by radioactive atoms and in nuclear explosions. They can kill living cells, but doctors can use them to kill diseased cells. Who Am I? 3. These waves have wavelengths shorter than visible light waves. These waves are invisible to the human eye, but some insects can see them. These waves are used to kill germs in hospitals and are used in food processing to destroy bacteria.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
