1097 AD In the 1097 AD there were 4 countries including France, Germany, Italia, and Belgium. These countries came together to make a army that would be more than 30,000 people and would go and attack lands that they are trying to claim. Any land that is taken over is given to the Byzantine Empire which is what the Pope promised
