Final exam guidelines Bring a pencil and a blue book. No other materials allowed Materials: Maps, pictures and multiple choice questions: from March 9 th onwards Essay: the whole semester Questions: 15-20 multiple choice questions Includes: pictures (same type of questions as for the midterm) True or false Passage recognition and interpretation questions (multiple choices) Associate events, historical characters, etc, with dates (as in the midterm) Associate characters, styles, plays, works, authors, dates (periods) Miscellaneous factual questions: important dates, characters in works we studied, etc. Dates to know: -All periods on Greek history timeline -431 - 404 BC The Peloponnesian War -430-427 BC Plague in Athens. Death of Pericles -415-413 BC: The Sicilian expedition -411 BC Revolts in Athens -404 BC Athens Surrenders to Sparta -338 BC Philip of Macedonia leads the Greek City States. -336-323 BC Alexander the Great: reign begins and ends -31 BC: Battle of Actium. Beginning of the reign of Augustus
