Baylee Heath Into to Literature Robin Sprague May 4, 2018 Assignment 2: Characterization in Antigone Antigone is a character that has many tragic flaws that made her into a tragic hero. Antigone does not believe in nor follow the laws, made by her uncle, King Creon, because she believes in following the laws of the gods. She believes the laws made by her uncle are unjust and wrong. King Creon decided that once an enemy, always an enemy; which he ruled that those who were disloyal would not be allowed to receive the same burial as a loyal Theban. King Creon put her in the position to either be loyal to him or remain loyal to her family. She chose to go against him, which in doing so led to her imprisonment. However she did not believe she was guilty because she believes her actions were justified by her loyalty to her family and the gods. Antigone made a tragic flaw while in the pursuit of trying to give her brother Polyneices a proper burial. I use the term “tragic flaw” to describe how very loyal
