Would your problem identified in the Unit 2 discussion question lend itself to a qualitative or quantitative design? What level of evidence (research design) would best address the problem? Explain your answer. Our problem identified in the Unit 2 discussion question was the Advancement in Technology: Impact on Nurse Stress Levels. This question I believe is a mixture of both qualitative and quantitative design. The reason I feel both will best address our problem is because in qualitative design data is collected through participant observation and interviews (Qualitative vs Quantitative Data | Simply Psychology). In our question we will need to find articles that use a qualitative design to figure if nurses are becoming stressed from the advancements in technology. We will also need to utilize quantitative design to get statistical and numerical comparisons (Qualitative vs Quantitative Data | Simply Psychology). Is the percentage of nurses who are stressed new nurses or older nurses? These are the types of questions and results we will want to find out through our research.
