Running Head: Evaluating Developmental MilestonesIn this scenario, Talia a Caucasian and Asian female, is a senior in high school. She is going through a lot of different issues in her adolescent life. In assessing Talia’s struggle with her future plans I’m using the identity-versus-identity-confusion stage. During this stage Adolescents feel pressure to decide whether their post-high school plans include work or college,and if they choose work, which occupational track will they follow (Fieldman, R., 2013). This isprogrammed by U.S. society. Sometimes this track ends after high school, but adolescents still face difficult choices about what future path to follow (Fieldman, R., 2013). During this period in the adolescents life they rely on their friends and peers as sources ofinformation, and their dependence on their parents lessens (Friedman, R., 2013). Schwartz et. at’s (2006) defined identity as one’s subjective perception of self and the organization of self-understandings that define one’s “place in the world.” This definition constitutes a synthesis of three components: 1)Personal Identity: pertaining to goals, values,
