The “Near East” by definition includes the countries Mesopotamia (modern Iraq andSyria), Anatolia (modern Turkey), the Levant (modern Syria, Lebanon, Israel, Palestine, andJordan), as well as Persia (modern Iran), andAncientEgypt. Christianity, Judaism and Islam areall religions that branched off of Abraham and as a result have many similarities including alloriginating in the near east. Observing significant events that had an impact on the historicorigins of these religions, and then taking the locations of these events mentioned in scripture inthe Quran, Torah and New Testament and locating them within the defined boundaries of thenear east will prove the that these Religion originated in the near east.In Judaism the story of creation in the Hebrew bible, which marks the beginning of lifefor the Jews, takes place in what is referred to as the Garden of Eden.
