After the bombing, President Truman issued a statement in reference to the bombing urging the Japan country to surrender or face another fury from the United States government, but the Emperor to the Japan government did not respond prompting the U.S to drop another atomic bomb at the city of Nagasaki three days after the bombing of Hiroshima.
