TouchMath
TouchMath is a multisensory math program designed to make math concepts easier and
more accessible for students with different learning styles and/or learning difficulties (Innovative
Learning Concepts, n.d.). It makes critical math concepts appealing and accessible for students
who struggle to understand grade-level content. This approach combines auditory, visual and
tactile strategies for understanding numbers and operations. (Innovative Learning Concepts)
With TouchMath, every number, one through nine, has physical points called
“TouchPoints.” Numbers one through five have single points while numbers six through nine
have double points or a combination of single and double points. As the students touch each
point, they count (Pancare, 2017). The points (or dots) help the students understand the name and
values of the numbers. Students can use this system to add, subtract, multiply and divide
