MODELS OF LEADERSHIP 2Models of LeadershipIntroduction The models of leadership are divided differently according to what they stand for and the activities they cover. Leadership is a challenging area of management that is made easy by the use of models. The models of leadership indicated different ways through which individuals in charge of management execute their duties. It is through the models that people can also learn thedifferent qualities of the leaders and their behaviors. The following paper will discuss two leadership models including their similarities and differences. The way that these models apply will also be discussed in the paper. Focus will be on universal model of leadership and autocratic model of leadership. Universal Model of LeadershipThe universal model of leadership explains the development of leadership. The model focuses on the transformation of a leader. According to the model, there are five stages in transformational leadership. The stages include egocentric, reactive, creative, integral, and Unitive. As a leader moves from one stage to another, they are considered to be more mature, effective and high performing individuals (Anderson & Adams, 2017). The measurement of this growth is done through the use of Leadership Circle Profile. The figure below indicates the stages of formation.
