Today we see the Israelite victory over Og king of Bashan and his whole army, the division of the conquered land, and Moses's request to cross the Jordan denied. The beginning of this chapter ought to remind us of two things: the absolute power of God and the faithfulness of God. Though it is the power of God that might first come to our minds when we see the Israelite victories, the faithfulness of God ought not to be overlooked. In all these chapters, we are only seeing God being faithful to his promise to the Israelites: "I will send my terror ahead of you and throw into confusion every nation you encounter. I will make all your enemies turn their backs and run" (Exodus 23:27). We should also note the phrase: "delivered him into your hand" (verse 2). It is also used by David when he asserted before Goliath, "This day the Lord will deliver you into my hands" (1 Samuel 17:46). This phrase is indicative of the absolute power of God by which he is able to subdue the enemies of the faithful and give them victory over all their adversaries.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
