Community and population health is an initiative that aims at assessing and improving the health status of an entire population of individuals as a whole. Therefore, the responsibility of a community health nurse is to formulate an individualized plan of care based on the needs of the community they are serving. Often times this starts with community education and preventative health care measures. I have learned through the Professional Roles and Values course that this nurse must be efficient, self-motivated and flexible in order to come up with solutions that would best fit the needs of the population they are monitoring and caring for as well as be able to work with many different populations. In the first part of Community Health C228 task 1 where a simulation city by the name of Sentinel City was explored and then assessed from the perspective of a community health nurse is a perfect example of this definition. Within task 1 all aspects of the city were explored starting with simply observing as well as diving much deeper into the statistics of the community. This task helped me to
