Nevertheless, people are extremely exposed to GE foods because most of the products we buy are made of certain crops which are highly exposed to genetic engineering as well. Anyways, organic foods can help people prevent any issues GE foods can cause; because it is forbidden to modify it genetically and also food labeling is not necessary in the U.S because it is not proven that GE foods are bad for people health; so in this case the only option to avoid GE foods is organic food too. To wrap up, the source from which this article is from is credible because it’s a .org website and the works used were coming from both .gov and .org websites which strengthens the source credibility. Unit 3 - Newspaper Many people want modified foods to be labeled. But Producers protest that their products are safe and don't need labels. Even though they modify GE plants using a specific procedure to get their desired outcome. However, some foods are labeled depending on their characteristics. GE products are not reviewed in a scientific manner and scientists are worried about GE plants negative outcome. Nevertheless, foods that differs from other foods significantly would have a specific labeling. There are few ways to determine if your food is GE if you want to avoid it. To wrap up, the source from which this article is from is not credible because it's a newspaper; they are released daily and this one was released years ago. Pesticides are chemicals used for pest control on plants but it also harm people and other organisms. Pesticides are examined to ensure they are safe. Although pesticides are examined; the agency in charge don't control some pesticides before it is sold for some reasons. Pesticides contain multiple chemicals that affects people and the agency could only make studies on one chemical which is inadequate. More research is essential to determine the effects of pesticides. The vast majority of the population has pesticides in their bodies and it’s really bad for people like children and pregnant women.
