Thinking Ethically Aminah Ahmed Two ethical approaches are the utilitarian approach and the rights approach. The utilitarian approach analyzes a situation and decides what course of action produces greater good for everyone, while considering what the karma will be for such a decision. The rights approach is allowing an individual to make their own decision. Individuals are aware of what is within their moral limits and what will produce the best outcome. These approaches can be applied to daily life situations. For instance, the utilitarian approach could be applied in work situations, where a supervisor must make decisions that will produce the best results for employees. The rights approach can be applied to an individual’s daily life when they must decide what action they need to take. The issue presented in this case is that Maria Elena has been living and working in the country illegally.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
