HUMAN RESOURCES 1 The Strategic Role of Human Resource and HR Competencies for the 21st Century Introduction Human resources is a strategic business partner which shares the overall responsibility to deliver financial as well as sales results. Human resource supports the leadership team in management of people (Kramar, 2014). However, there are some vital roles of human resources. This paper seeks to analyze the primary purpose of strategic human resources which is to concentrate all the human resource processes to make an organization more competitive. This paper will evaluate the way that human resources compete with organizations that are present in the job market to ensure that other organizations do not steal employees or change the company's product portfolio. Additionally, the paper will analyze the risks that an organization may face by not utilizing human resources as well as a personal evaluation of my competency in human resources. The paper will also review how I will continue to develop my skills in human resources and how I will apply human resources in my organization. Human resource encourages and enables employees to build their capacity and is necessary for the success of any organization. Defining the Strategic Role of Human Resources Human resource shares the overall responsibility for organizational success. Human resources support the leadership team while implementing strategic projects in the area of managing employees (Chron, 2017). However, vital human resources have one goal which is to aim all the processes of human resource to ensure that the organization has a competitive advantage. Companies in the 21st century are required to be employee-centric if they want to remain relevant and push the industry's boundaries (Chron, 2017). After all, great companies are made by great people. In the global marketplace, talent is now considered the hottest commodity with individuals having the power to influence a company's culture than ever before knowingly (Chron, 2017). The result is a much need transformation of human resources teams who are now forced to navigate new technologies and ensure that the workforce in an organization is productive and happy. In the 21st century, departments of human resource favor specialization over a generalized, one-size fits all approach to manage the workforce (Chron, 2017). The Human resources Officers' tasks will now be spread out across a different stack of specialists.
