14 S: Specific, each objective or target should be clearly stated, unambiguous and easy to understand M: Measurable. You should be able to measure whether or not an objective or target has been achieved A: Attainable. Each object or target should be realistic and there should be reasonable odds that it will be achieved

15 R: Relevant. Each objective should be relevant to the organization, its mission statement and the role of the tam member whose job it is to achieve it. Objectives should be assigned to team members who have the relevant skills and experience to achieve them T: Timely. A time limit should be in which be objective or target is to be met. This helps team members stay on trach and motivated. It also makes it easier to measure whether the objective has been achieved.
