The Trait Model of Personality2Psychology has lots of different views within theorist that open up much moreopportunity for learning and understanding their different behavior processes, identity andpersonality traits that may come from any type of individual. Some of the theorists includepeople such as Galen, Jung, Eysenck and Hippocrates. “The earliest documented work onhumoral theory dates back to ancient Greece” (Lecci, 2015). Hippocrates and Galen believed“that the body was compromised of four basic fluids and the balance of these fluids coulddetermine behavioral and emotional tendencies (and disease susceptibility)” (Lecci, 2015). Afterseveral theorist and psychologist have done research over the years they have found in this daythat the personality of an individual and mood doesn’t just focus itself on the bile that someonehas as Hippocrates and Galen once believed. According to Hippocrates and Galen’s theory thefour humors were described as sanguine, melancholic, choleric and phlegmatic. Melancholic andcholeric are both still recognized within society to this day. Melancholic is “excessive black bile,which was associated with sad disposition, and choleric, excessive yellow bile was characterizedas irritable” (Lecci, 2015). Although, psychology and science in this day focuses more with therelation with psychology and biology, there are still several theories relating to personality andbile.Galen and Hippocrates were able to develop the foundation within the personality traittheory where new coming psychologist will be able to form and create new theories. Thepersonality traits have now been found to play more of a role within the biological processes. Ithas been “recognized by the neurobiological foundation of personality, and this perspective isfundamental to personality theory” (Corr, 2006), (Lecci, 2015). Other theorist such as Eysenckbelieved that traits were focused mainly on particular biological mechanisms. Eysenck was able
