ANALYSIS OF ANNE BRADSTREET POEM 2Anne Bradstreet is s renowned author in literature having authored a number of literaturepieces during her time. She remains to be remembered by the fact that she was able to rise upabove all odds during her time to compose superlative pieces of literature; she lived in a harshreligious society where women were looked down upon but then she was able to rise up andmitigate these challenges. She was eloquent and open to what she had in mind. These two formsof behavior are well presented in her poem, To My Dear and Loving Husband.In order toeffectively deliver her intentions the author used a number of literature devices: symbolism,imagery, tone and theme among other literary devices. Starting with imagery, imagery is when the narrator use words that are intended to appealto the senses of the readers: through the author’s words, readers are able to perceive a senseimage or idea that the author is trying to bring about.
