ABBREVIATIONS:
PA- Posterioanterior- X-ray position where rays enter through the back of the chest and exit the front
of where beam is detected.
ECG- Electrocardiogram- The process of recording the electrical activity of the heart over a period of
time using electrodes placed on the skin.
SOB- Shortness of Breath- Inability to catch ones breath.
IM- Intramuscular- Situated or taking place within a muscle such as an injection.
O2- Oxygen-
X-ray
X-ray findings showed trachea deviated to the right a vague visual of the aorta and positive
Hampton’s hump which notates unequal intrathoracic pressure within the chest cavity which
indicates a pneumothorax (collapsed lung) of the left lung.
PICC line was inserted to administer IV medication due to the emergent situation and in case
another situation arises that will need immediate medication administration. ECG performed to
r/o STEMI or other cardiac episodes such as an MI. O2 given through nasal cannula and IM Eli-
