The declaration states the reasons as to why the British colonies of Northern America sought independence in 1776[Sch12]. Common sense, on the other hand, is a pamphlet which was written and published by Thomas Paine in 1776. The pamphlet supported Thomas arguments in favour of the American independence. In similarity, both Jefferson and Paine expressed the feelings to the public when they written and published these documents. They evaluated the problems which Americans went through during British Rule[Sch12]. They also provided arguments and reasons why Americans were going through these problems. They provided their opinions on solutions to these problems. Secondly, the two documents called for America’s independence from Britain.
