CHAPTER 6 Business Market : B2B individuals or groups that purchase a specific kind of product for resale, direct use in producing other products, or use in general daily operations *smaller customer populations *based on long term mutually profitable relationships (cooperation, trust, collaboration) *goal is understanding customer needs and providing value added exchange Four Categories of Business Markets 1) Producer Market : individuals and business organizations that purchase products to make profits by using them to produce other products or using them in operations *Grocery store – paper/plastic bags, computer, scanner Farmer – machines, seed, cows 2) Reseller Markets: intermediaries that buy finished goods and resell them for profit *wholesalers important in helping producer get products to customers *retailers purchase products and resell them to final customers 1. evaluate level of demand 2. space required 3. ease of taking orders 3) Government Markets:
