Girls develop earlier than boys, boys catch up around age 14,15,16. Hormones- chemicals secreted by the endocrine glands and carried throughout the body by the bloodstream. Increases in testosterone and estradiol. Puberty starts earlier here because of the hormones in the food we eat and because of our environment. Physical Changes Girls are more negative about their bodies because of the media mostly. Early and late maturation -boys who mature early are more popular and have older friends, girlfriends, and exposed to many other things like sex drugs and alcohol. - late maturing boys have a stronger sense of self because they have enough time to process their development and identity.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
