Scientists See Sperm 1677Scientists use microscopes to see sperm for the first time ever. Antonie Van Leeuwenhoek was running an important scientific experiment at the request of the Royal Society in London, where he looked at semen under a microscope for the first time, making him the first person to see living sperm cells. (Kelly, 2016) Many scientists couldn’t believe that the sperm could be responsible for the making of human life.
World War I 1914-1918World War I had an impact on Human Sexuality and how women were viewed. During World War I a lot of women were recruited to part take in jobs that were traditionally only done by men, however with men off fighting in the war. The high demand for weapons resulted in the munitions factories becoming the largest single employer of women during the 1918s.
