The film presents itself as originally playful, originally presenting itself with no underlying theme or idea. Instead, it details the activities and events that various animated heroes go through to survive. However, when analyzing the movie from a new perspective, there are multiple events that align with the holocaust. These events range from fire and to escaping to an attic, similar to Anne Frank. Though these similarities may be unintentional, its presence can be clearly identified throughout the film. The plot of the story, as a whole, revolves around the characters attempting to escape what they could call “atrocities". In a way, Toy Story 3 is a kiddy representation of the holocaust, displaying events that align with these aspects. To begin, Andy is the owner of these toys and attempts distance himself needing them. After they’ve served Andy for the majority of his life, the toys’ lives are now threatened. Andy is undecided about the toys’ fate, which causes dismay among the characters. Early in the film, the toys begin to discuss their paranoia, frightened about their existence.
