Physics Lab Report FormatName:Venora GuinnTitle:Conservation Laws and Newton’s CradleHypothesis: The momentum created from the initial swinging ball will create kinetic energy to move an equal amount of momentum. Overview:A simulated Newton’s Cradle was provided to me to experiment with conservation energy to run four different tests. 1 – 4 balls were swung initially to observe the kinetic energy being transmitted through the middle balls until the equal amount of balls/weight swung out and up on the other side. Procedure:See Lab InstructionsData Table:See Lab data sheet(s)Uncertainty & Error:The simulation did not allow for biasness or uncertainty in the lab measurements. When I was asked to think abut a 4 kg ball for the initial swing and whatthe collision would look like with the rest of the 2 kg balls, I had a hard time to picture it as you could not change the weight of the balls. That part of the experiment could have human error.
