Reflection Paper: Doctrine of the Holy SpiritThe biblical doctrine gives us an understanding of God and the importance of His will in our daily Christian life. It is only through the proper understanding of the doctrine that one can truly understand God, the Holy Trinity, the creation, and the fundamental truth of one’s existenceand purpose. Thus, the understanding of the Holy Trinity is at the very essence of understanding what it truly means to be a Christian. The doctrine of the Holy Spirit holds a great importance in the Christian faith as it, “is thepoint at which the Trinity becomes personal to the believer.” (Erickson 296) This is oftenunderstood because the Holy Spirit is the most active and functioning aspect in every believer’slife. The works of the Holy Spirit are visible and are constantly happening during this point intime. It is neither far removed nor far off.
