CHOOSING THE RIGHT ANTIVIRUS SOFTWARES: AN INFORMATIVE ESSAY The internet has come a long way since its inception as ARPANET, a small network for defense purpose in the US in the early 60’s. The world through connectivity offered by the internet technology has been transformed into a such a small place that now you can chat instantly with a friend who is oceans apart from you or share your vacation photos with your relatives from the comfort of your own home. Advances in internet technology are happening this very moment as I am writing this piece but then there are stumbling blocks as well which should be overcome so as to take internet to all corners of the globe, to tighten the screws on cyber crimes and make internet a safer place. On one hand a click of a mouse can offer you countless information on varied subjects but on the other hand the same click can ruin your experience and you think twice before you click on anything. I am talking about computer viruses. As of December 30, 2007, 1.319 billion people
