History of Present Illness: Patient used to be friendly until her mother passed away two years ago. That was the time when she became depressed and didn’t like to talk or eat. She used to stay at home all day and felt anxious. After one year, she became totally different i.e. her appetite increased and she liked to talk a lot. She started wandering outside her home. She started using foul language. At first, she got treated from Sargodha and her condition got better. Now, she is seeking treatment in Lahore. Personal History: Birth and early development was normal. She was a good student in school as well as college. Home environment was good. She has done B.A. She used to have good social relations before the onset of her illness. Family History: Her father passed away sixteen years ago and mother passed away two years ago. She was very attached to her mother. She had no siblings and lived with her uncle’s family. Her relationship with them was good. Marital and sexual history: She is single but was in a relationship with her cousin who later broke up with her. No sexual history was reported by the patient. Premorbid Personality:

She was very friendly and cheerful before her illness started. She had good social relations with everyone. Behavioral Observation: Patient’s hygiene was partially kept. She was very cooperative and maintained good eye contact. She became emotional sometimes. The pitch and tone of her voice was normal. Her mood was good. No hallucinations and delusion were reported. Assessment of intellectual functioning and personality The intellectual and personality functioning of patient’s personality has been assessed by following psychometrics: i. Young Mania Rating Scale (YMRS) ii. Bipolar Depression Rating Scale (BDRS) iii. Bipolar Spectrum Diagnostic Scale (BSDS) iv. Brief Psychiatric Rating Scale (BPRS) i. Young Mania Rating Scale (YMRS) Quantitative Interpretation.
