Subjective and Objective InformationSubjective and objective data is an important part of the assessment because it isgoing to give the provider an understanding of what is going on with the patient and how to goabout making a diagnosis. In the scenario provided, we need to find out more information aboutthe patients diet and more specifics about the diarreah in order to make an accurate diagnosis.Itis known that blood pressure medication and diabetic medication can also cause diarreah, andalcohol can irriate the stomach as well. Is the patient still drinking alcohol? Are they checkingtheir blood sugar frequently and what are the findings?Questioning the patient about starting orstopping medication is also important. The objective data is also important to collect because thisincludes VS, medication list, assessment and any other diagnosics needed to find a diagnosis.
