O’Connor is a talented author; she shows us how to use non-traditional writing to create remarkable
literature. She portrays her faith and personal beliefs in her writing. One thing O’Connor’s writing has
taught me is that you should not pretend to be someone you are not. Being your true self is important.
Another thing I took from O’Connor’s writing is to be careful of who you trust; you never know who
people are.
I believe reading the authors view helps you understand the mindset of their work. It lets you know their
reasoning for their writing. She allows us to follow her perspective of the theme and symbolism. Reading
others point of view on the stories will enable the reader to take something different from other’s view
