Diet Profile Assignment Questions 1. Using the source analysis reports, list the top three food sources of fat per day. My top three food sources of fat on Thursday were ice cream, rice pudding, and alfredo sauce. My top three sources on Friday were pizza, ranch dressing, and raisins. My top three sources on Saturday were pizza, a starbuck’s frapuccino, and marinara sauce. Looking at fat breakdown report, what was the average percent of total calories from saturated fat? The average percent of total calories from saturated fat was eleven percent. Name three foods that you can limit to reduce the amount of saturated fat in your diet. Some foods I could limit to reduce saturated fat in my diet are ice cream, rice pudding, and pizza. 2. From the Intakes vs. Goals list at least 2 vitamins and 2 minerals of concern as not meeting at least 75% of the DRI, identify two reasons why you should be concerned about consuming inadequate quantities of this vitamin and mineral (2 reasons per vitamin and 2 per mineral). According to the Intake vs. Goals list, Vitamin C, Niacin, Calcium, and Iron did not meet at least 75% of the DRI. I should be concerned about this because a long term deficiency can lead to many health problems. Vitamin C deficiency can lead to fatigue and depression as well as slow recovery from infections. Niacin deficiency can lead to skin disorders and diarrhea.

As a current student on this bumpy collegiate pathway, I stumbled upon Course Hero, where I can find study resources for nearly all my courses, get online help from tutors 24/7, and even share my old projects, papers, and lecture notes with other students.

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
