Human Cloning General Purpose: To inform Specific Purpose: To inform my audience about Human Cloning. Central Idea: To inform my audience of the pros and cons of human cloning, along with the moral arguments and technological advances. I. Introduction A. What do these movies have in common? 1. The 6 th Day, The Island, Godsend, Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me, and Star Wars II: Attack of the Clones. B. What is a clone? 1. A clone is, according to Dictionary.com, a cell, cell product, or organism that is genetically identical to the unit or individual from which it was derived. 2. In other words, a person or thing that duplicates, imitates, or closely resembles another in appearance, function, performance, or style. C. Today I am going to inform you of the pros and cons of human cloning and the moral arguments and technological advances of cloning. II. Body A. First, I am going to explain what cloning is, what we have done in relation to cloning, and inform a little about what Texas A&M has accomplished.
