This preview shows page 1 - 2 out of 2 pages.

Law vs Ethics - Just because it is legal, does not make it ethically permissible however there still stands a relationship between law and ethics - Overlaps including killing, stealing, etc - Lying is ethically wrong, but not against the law - Law is generally derived from standards of ethics Ethical Relativism - Point out the different cultures have different practices and to argue that respecting those cultures means adhering to their standards rather than imposing our own - From module 1: morality is relative to the beliefs or practices of a particular cultural group - All agree that lying is bad (from all cultures) - Justice is good - “My culture believes doing X is morally right” is never sufficient reason to believe that doing X is right. We must think “why and how do we know that ding X is right” - Who am i justifying these actions to? - Appeal to moral arguments and standards that will seem plausible to the audience Donaldson - Are we justified in settling for the lower standards imposed by a host country?

The ability to access any university’s resources through Course Hero proved invaluable in my case. I was behind on Tulane coursework and actually used UCLA’s materials to help me move forward and get everything together on time.
