1 Junaid Ali DRAM-1310 Professor Hale February 18, 2018 Three Sisters Critic On Thursday, 02/15/2018 I picked up my girlfriend and we both went to the Undermain Theatre in Downtown Dallas to watch the play, Three Sisters , playwright by Anton Chekhov. It was an unforgettable experience for the both of us. I have never been to a central staging performance before and without a doubt will be eagerly waiting to attend another show and write another critic. Being completely honest for the first 45 minutes of the show had me questioning and wondering a lot about what is going on. I wasn’t sure what the play was about, what is happening, and why it is happening. I wish I had a bit of description somewhere about the play and what to expect. In the middle of the play I had to pull my phone out and find out the genre of the play which is drama. I didn’t really know how to prepare myself before watching the play since I have not been to one before, but next time I plan on educating myself about the play more. My overall impression of the show was very surprising and entertained. I was not expecting to enjoy it as much as I did. The experience seemed very real as if we were a part of the drama. At one point I felt like getting up and telling one of the actors to go look at what your wife is doing since she was cheating on him while he was looking away. This play was all about drama, love, and trying to find happiness. The overall moral of this play was to not force yourself into something unless you are 100 percent sure that you want it.

Two locations the play used was a living room in the big house and the back yard of the house. The living room included a dining table, many sofas and couches, and some old antiques around the house. The sofas and couches all had old sheets and seemed dusty. The dining table seemed really bland and dark with just a white table cloth on top. There was an old clock, a smaller table
