Family:
Religion plays an aspect on the family. As for mate selection, I think most people tend to
choose their wife/husband that has similar beliefs and viewpoints as them. As for Baylor I think
most people who attend church on a regular basis will try to find someone who also attends
church. As for people with no religion, I believe most of the time they will try and find someone
who are less religious. Although this is not always the case, from the several people I surveyed
an Atheist, a Non-denominational Christian, and a Baptist. The Atheist said they would prefer
someone with a non-religious background. As for the Non-denominational and Baptist, both
said they would prefer someone with a religious background. Marital surnames are a matter of
preference. As for most Baylor students, most religious women will tend to use their husbands
last name and may tend to add their maiden name as their middle name. I think that it is just
accustomed and not really put much thought into for the average religious family. As for
