Especially for jobs and the livelihood of the farmers and workers. In the time before the Civil War, the US quickly became an established economy when look at next to different American countries. The idea of getting land started to become normal for each frontiersman due to the western side of thecountry being much encroached. After entering into the war, there was a large ruining of their property that was very costly for their economy.
