ANTI-THEFT BAG SYSTEM (Internet of Things IoT) ABSTRACT This project is call Anti Theft Bag. It is a device for securing our stuff from being stole by a thief. This device need to be insert at the bag, luggage, and handbag. For example, when a person is trying to steal the bag without our notice, the device will start its alarm sound. The device will use ultrasonic sensor for its input. The sensor will detect the range of bag, its either being move or not. Make sure it is within range of 0 to 10 inch. If it being move, and out of range, passive buzzer will turn on and making a loud sound. LCD 16x2 will be use as the output process of the device. A Bluetooth also included. Bluetooth are uses to control the device to turn on the Anti-theft Bag system, turn on and off the passive buzzer. This project may become useful in the future. 1 | P a g e

ANTI-THEFT BAG SYSTEM (Internet of Things IoT) CHAPTER 1:INTRODUCTION 1.1 BACKGROUND A stuff was stolen is happened almost everyday in this world. Theft also can happened to anyone no matter who or what age of the person. To avoid theft happens, a solution for this kind of case are need. At least a step towards avoid it is taken. Theft can happened when a person does not take a good care of their stuff. For example, when a person go to mosque, they put their bag behind them or far from them. This situation may lead that bag being stole by someone. This can be avoid with a creative way, which is using a little device called Anti-theft System. With this device, it can alarm the user when his or her stuff is getting move by someone. It can be turn off only by the user using Bluetooth apps. 1.2 PROBLEM STATEMENT The problem come when the device need to be connect to the Apps. Research to link with the apps is really need. The second one is to make sure that the buzzer alarming when a certain range is reach. Code from ultrasonic sensor HC-SR04 need to be analyse more from datasheet. For the third, an output pin from one Arduino device is not enough to support LCD, Bluetooth, LED, buzzer and ultrasonic sensor. This situation are solve using two Arduino device, which is Arduino Nano and Arduino Uno. For the fourth, this device should use NodeMCU as remote to control this device, but that device is hard to setting and it will consume more time. Since the project are more related to the Internet of Things (IoT), the core type of telecommunication module that need to be replaces should be a Bluetooth as it is the simple way to connect between phones and devices. 2 | P a g e

ANTI-THEFT BAG SYSTEM (Internet of Things IoT) 1.3 DESIGN OBJECTIVE 1. The design of this device need to be small and have powerful sound. 2. To create a small, simple and a good function to prevent bag, handbag or any type of storage, which have a risk to be stole.
