Birchwood Lane Schools needs assistance to meet the state and federal database requirements. These requirements include an electronic application system that records every student enrolled, the courses taught, and the teacher information. A comprehensive database management system model will resolve this issue and ensure all necessary data is captured and stored.State and Federal administration has requested the following information: Students full name, full address, phone number, birthdate, email address, enrollment date, graduation date, courses taken and currently enrolled in. Instructors full name, full address, email, birthdate, hire date, courses taught, and courses currently assigned. Course data- course name, course start date and end date, course category, instructor assigned, and students enrolled. Adding the required information will help with processing requested transcripts, also aid in scheduling of courses with the assigned instructor. The stored data will keep the communication between students and teachers, guidance counselors and the enrollment process open honest. There are some additional attributes that Birchwood Lane Schools and the students currently attending and future students will benefit from. Adding the student grade point average, the extra curriculum activities will help the student information get out to prospective colleges easier. Depending on the school the student is looking to attend, the college can provide feedbackand what courses are required for acceptance.
