PHYSICS-1ADDITION OF VECTORSEXPERIMENT-3: Addition of Vectors1.OBJECTIVES:In this experiment, we try to resolve a force vector into it rectangular components and find the resultant of a number of forces acting on a body. When a number of forces passing through the same point, act on an object, they may be replaced by a single force which is called the resultant orthe sum. The resultant therefore is a single force which is similar in effect to the effect produced bythe several forces acting on the body. It is therefore a single force that replaces those forces. The objectives of this lab are to use graphical, analytic and experimental methods to:2. MATERIAL:1. Force table6. Strings for suspending the masses 2. Four weight holders7. A ring3. Four pulleys8. A metal pin4. Slotted weights9. A protractor5. Sheets of plain or graph paper. 3.PROCEDURE:We will use a Force Table in order to balance the “forces”, not the masses. We will be creating each force by hanging a known mass, and the force will be given by F = m g. We are doing 3 cases
